Genset rental range in Malaysia: small Airman units to 1000kVA
Kyusen handles genset rental enquiries from Puchong, Selangor, with catalogue references for small Airman generators, larger Denyo sets and a Texas 1000kVA Cummins option. Start with your power requirement, compare the published frequency and duty labels, then confirm the actual unit and complete rental package.
Planning a project?
Share the job, location and dates. Add the hire period if renting.
You can enquire before choosing a model. Technical details can follow.
Choose a starting point for your genset enquiry
- You know the job but not the required capacity: start the short genset enquiry with the application, location and dates. You can choose Not sure yet and add technical details afterward.
- You have nameplates, manuals or a project specification: prepare the load schedule, including equipment that runs together and starting/restart events.
- A model has been suggested: use the family comparison, then read its output at the required frequency and its stated duty. Ask for the actual offered unit’s rating sheet and condition.
If you already have a proposal, the quotation checklist helps compare the equipment and services included. This range remains a rental reference; purchase requires a separate offer for the actual unit.
Start with the rental families
Kyusen’s published rental category includes an Airman 13–150kVA listing, five Denyo DCA-ESK listings and a Texas 1000kVA Cummins listing. These give buyers several starting points for a rental enquiry. Kyusen rental catalogue
| Rental family | What to compare |
|---|---|
| Small Airman SDG series | Compare the Airman frequency table, including the SDG13S model reference. |
| Larger Denyo DCA-ESK sets | Compare the Denyo continuous ratings, including DCA-125ESK rental details. |
| Texas Cummins large-capacity option | Read the Texas 1000kVA rental details: published prime output at 50Hz, with the complete project and delivery arrangement still to assess. |
These are catalogue options, not a live reservation list. Ask which exact unit is available for your dates. If the project specification names a capacity that is not shown here, send it to Kyusen rather than assuming the nearest listing is interchangeable.
Compare the small Airman ratings by frequency
The Airman listing is labelled 13–150kVA. Its published specification chart gives separate 50Hz and 60Hz continuous electrical outputs, transcribed below. Model suffixes follow the chart. Airman listing and chart
| Airman model in chart | 50Hz kVA | 60Hz kVA |
|---|---|---|
| SDG13S-3B1 | 10.5 | 13 |
| SDG25S-3B1 | 20 | 25 |
| SDG45S-3A8 | 37 | 45 |
| SDG60S-3A6 | 50 | 60 |
| SDG100S-3A5 | 80 | 100 |
| SDG125S-3A6 | 100 | 125 |
| SDG150S-3A6 | 125 | 150 |
For example, SDG13S is 10.5kVA at 50Hz and 13kVA at 60Hz in this chart. Likewise, SDG100S is 80kVA at 50Hz. Keep the frequency beside the capacity when asking for a machine. Do not book from the “13” or “100” in the model name alone.
Open the original Kyusen specification chart to review the published figures. The chart also identifies three-phase, four-wire supply and a continuous rating class. Confirm the required supply voltage and exact offered unit: the listing description and chart contain different suffixes for some models. This table does not convert the listed three-phase output into capacity from one single-phase outlet.
Compare the larger Denyo continuous outputs
Kyusen’s Denyo rental pages list frequency in 50Hz / 60Hz order. This table retains that order and the catalogue’s continuous output label. For DCA-125ESK, compare the model details and its original catalogue reference; the other rows link to their source entries. Standby figures are separate and are not used here.
| Denyo rental model | 50Hz kVA | 60Hz kVA |
|---|---|---|
| DCA-125ESK | 100 | 125 |
| DCA-220ESK | 200 | 220 |
| DCA-300ESK | 270 | 300 |
| DCA-400ESK | 350 | 400 |
| DCA-500ESK | 450 | 500 |
A DCA-500ESK listing therefore does not mean 500kVA continuous at 50Hz: the published pair is 450/500kVA. Ask for the duty rating and frequency in writing. Where two proposals use different labels, such as continuous and prime, have the supplier explain their documented duty conditions before treating them as equivalent.
Understand the Texas 1000kVA option
Kyusen’s Texas Cummins 1000kVA rental reference states 1000kVA prime at 50Hz. That is a reference for enquiries needing assessment in the larger-capacity range. Texas rental reference
The same page gives inconsistent frequency context for its 1100kVA standby entry. Use the confirmed 1000kVA prime/50Hz basis for this comparison and request the actual unit’s rating sheet if standby duty is required.
For a large set, submit a site layout showing the proposed position, delivery route, unloading area and electrical distribution point. Ask Kyusen to confirm the supplied enclosure or mounting arrangement, dimensions and weight, delivery/positioning method, fuel plan and support scope. Do not infer those details from a headline capacity or a photograph.
Choose from the load brief, then compare the range
Caterpillar’s sizing guidance considers running demand, starting demand, usage patterns and site conditions. A capacity list helps shortlist options, but it does not assess your loads. Sizing inputs
Prepare the equipment names and nameplate/manual photos, voltage, phase and frequency. State which equipment runs together, what starts while other loads are running, and any automatic restart requirements. Add daily hours and whether the supply is for routine work, intermittent use or planned backup.
For a construction enquiry, identify tools, pumps and machinery separately. For an event, list lighting, sound and service equipment and the distribution layout. For backup, identify the essential loads, expected outage pattern and switching requirements. These are information prompts, not fixed recommendations that a particular kVA size suits every site, event or building.
If the enquiry starts around 100kVA, use the 100kVA load-planning worksheet for the detailed schedule and starting-event example. The same requirement-led approach helps the supplier compare smaller and larger candidates. Send the brief with a genset rental enquiry so the proposed unit can be assessed against the application.
Confirm the whole rental package
Kyusen’s Airman rental page mentions generator sets and electrical works, including distribution boards/sub-boards and cables with cable ladders or ramps. Ask which of those items are included in your proposed rental rather than assuming every catalogue listing includes them. Published rental services
Before booking, request a written response covering:
- The exact genset, electrical kVA/kW, frequency, voltage, phase and duty basis.
- The load combinations and starting/restart events assessed.
- Cables, distribution equipment, connection and switching responsibility.
- Delivery, positioning and collection, with the site access requirements.
- Fuel/refuelling arrangements, operating hours, service support and hire terms.
- Current availability, substitutions and any separately priced items.
Keep the load assessment with the quotation. Use the rental budget checklist and generator package overview to compare period rates, transport, fuel, electrical services and other scope once the requirement is clear. Request rental availability and an itemised quotation for the full range or a project-specified capacity.
If the requirement is purchase, choose Purchase in the same genset enquiry and follow the purchase proposal checklist. Ask about the actual offered unit, condition, inspection and written sale terms; this rental range and past delivery photographs do not confirm current sale stock.
Ask Kyusen to assess the right rental genset
Share the application, location and hire dates first. Add equipment lists/nameplates, required supply, running and starting requirements, duty and site access if known. Name a capacity only if specified, or ask what is needed for assessment across the rental range.
